This recent bespoke wedding cake we created for lovely bride Lauren and groom Alex is a great example. A beautifully elegant design in a colour matched powder blue with a feature ivory sugar rose and 24 carat edible gold covered leaves. Trimmed with hand painted gold sugar lace and a satin ivory ribbon tie.

Laurens bridesmaids were dressed in powder blue gowns and the venue in Tunbridge Wells has a signature decor of blues and gold. The couple wanted to incorporate this colour scheme into their wedding cake. Adding lace and ivory ribbon tied nicely with Lauren’s Catherine Deane wedding dress detail. Lauren wanted an ivory sugar rose feature which was coupled with gold leaves. The reception was held in the Royal Suite and the guest tables were beautifully dressed with tall delphiniums in blue hues by Astilbe & Sorrel. They chose three different flavours of sponge for their tiers for guests to enjoy.
